Our Walks

Due to reduced numbers we are now only able to offer two walks each month.  The C/D walk is approx. 5-7 miles, and the B walk is approx. 8-11 miles.  For the ascents, terrain and number of stiles etc. we use easy, moderate and strenuous to indicate the level of difficulty of a walk. Information about each of the walks available on the day will be published on this site when the information becomes available from the leader.

The destinations offer ample opportunities for you to undertake a self-guided walk, and we welcome those people as well as Ramblers members to join us on the coach.

Here will find all you need to know about us, our walks and importantly, how to join in.

To join us just check out the trip and if it looks like this will be enjoyable and within your capabilities then book the trip by telephone or Ticket Tailor.

Quick Summary
A quick summary of what we are all about:

  • A day out once a month where you can forget the driving and the parking.
  • Destinations include The Lakes, Derbyshire, Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors. There is an occasional trip to Wales together with some closer to home.
  • Two led walks for all abilities:
    • A/B grade: about 8-10/11 miles with moderate gradient
    • C/D grade: about 5-7 miles with less climbing, but there will always be enough time to tackle any hills.
  • Independent walkers and visitors are welcome and catered for.
  • One coach with pick-up points along the M65 corridor between Darwen and Colne.
  • Depending on the season, there will be between 6 and 8 hours at the destination . Most walks are timed to give at least an hour of exploration in the town/village before the coach leaves.
  • Total cost is dependent on the destination.  See individual dates for ticket prices.
